FAQS ABOUT PLUMBING SERVICES
IN WEST LAKELAND, FL

My water bill jumped, but I cannot see a leak anywhere.

Start with the meter. Turn off every faucet and appliance in the house, then watch the meter for ten or fifteen minutes. If it still moves, water is going somewhere. The usual suspects are a running toilet, a dripping outside spigot, a leaking irrigation line or a leak under the slab. We can narrow it down and find a hidden leak without tearing up more than we have to.

Why is there white crust on my faucets and showerhead?

That is mineral scale from hard water, mostly calcium. It clogs aerators and showerhead holes, which cuts the flow, and it builds up inside water heaters and fixtures too. Soaking the showerhead and aerators in white vinegar overnight usually clears them. If it keeps coming back fast, a water softener may be worth it, and we can tell you whether your water is hard enough to justify one.

Should I replace my old galvanized pipes?

If your home still has galvanized steel supply pipe, it is worth planning for. Galvanized pipe rusts from the inside, and over the years the buildup narrows the pipe, which shows up as low pressure, rusty water or pinhole leaks. It does not fail all at once, so you have time to plan. We can check how much of it is left and price replacing it with modern pipe.

My shower keeps dripping even when the handle is off.

That usually means the cartridge or the washers inside the valve are worn, often sped up by hard water scale. On most single handle showers, the cartridge can be replaced without opening the wall. It is worth fixing soon, since a steady drip wastes a surprising amount of water and the scale it leaves behind makes the valve harder to repair later.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was a great company that came out and got me a new AC, air handler, and duct branches. I got to see everything before it was replaced in my attic. They were very thorough in explaining to me what needed to be done and why my house wasn’t holding cool air. I opened up a can of worms and luckily they know what they are doing. I had a solution in minutes. It’s a pricey procedure but good air quality and a efficient electric bill is very important. Give ‘em a call!
Edit: They are a great company and even did a follow up visit to make sure everything was good to go. Thank you!
