Should I get a heat pump or an air conditioner with electric heat?

Can I keep my old thermostat with a new system?

Sometimes, but it is often the wrong move. A variable speed or communicating system usually needs its own thermostat to run the way it was designed to, and an old basic thermostat can leave you paying for equipment you never fully use. If your thermostat is only a few years old and the new system is a simple one, we will tell you to keep it.

I got to see everything before it was replaced in my attic. They were very thorough in explaining to me what needed to be done and why my house wasn’t holding cool air. I opened up a can of worms and luckily they know what they are doing. I had a solution in minutes. It’s a pricey procedure but good air quality and a efficient electric bill is very important.
