FAQS ABOUT HVAC SERVICES
IN OCALA, FL

Should a large home have two systems or one big one?

For many larger or two-story homes, two smaller systems work better than one big one. Each system handles its own part of the house, temperatures stay more even, and if one fails you still have cooling in the other half. One large system can work in a compact layout with good ductwork. A load calculation and a look at the duct layout tell us which makes sense.

Should I choose a heat pump or a system with a gas furnace?

Most Ocala homes do well with a heat pump. If your home already has natural gas or propane, a dual fuel setup can pair a heat pump with a gas furnace, letting the heat pump handle mild weather and the furnace take over on the coldest nights. It costs more up front and makes the most sense where gas is already in place. We can lay out both options side by side.

How long does a heat pump last compared to an AC?

Usually a little less, because a heat pump works in both summer and winter instead of just summer. Many last somewhere around ten to fifteen years with regular maintenance. Keeping the coil clean, the refrigerant charge correct and the defrost controls working makes the biggest difference in how long yours lasts.

Is there a best time of year to replace a system?

If your system is limping along, spring or fall is the easiest time. The weather is mild, scheduling is more flexible, and you are not without cooling in July or heat on a cold night. Replacing before the old system fails also gives you time to compare options instead of making a rushed decision. We can look at your system now and tell you how much time it likely has.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was a great company that came out and got me a new AC, air handler, and duct branches. I got to see everything before it was replaced in my attic. They were very thorough in explaining to me what needed to be done and why my house wasn’t holding cool air. I opened up a can of worms and luckily they know what they are doing. I had a solution in minutes. It’s a pricey procedure but good air quality and a efficient electric bill is very important. Give ‘em a call!
Edit: They are a great company and even did a follow up visit to make sure everything was good to go. Thank you!
